Which was actually a 19th century whaling port.There is a whaling museum along route 25A along with 40 unique merchants including an antique shop. Around the bend is a fih hatchery & aquarium & the DNA learning center.Near by are plenty of museums including Sagamore Hill, Heckscher museum of art, Walt Whitmans birthplace. There are tours of some of our many gold coast mansions such as Coindre Hall or the Vanderbilt Mansion and planetrium. Or if you perfer take a tour in our horse-drawn carriage of the village.Let's not forget Camsett State park 1,500 acres with bridle path, salt water fishing, hiking, cross country skiing.End up your day dining & wining at one of three delicious Cold Spring Harbor restruants.If you want something different,only 2 miles away you can get any kind of food you want.
